The Best Free Weight Loss Program for Natural Weight Loss
April 28th, 2008 by hangtongfaskenBy Janice Elizabeth Small The best things in life are free and that is truly the case when it comes to planning your weight loss program. Whatever you do, don’t waste your money on diet patches, pills and potions - they may harm you and they will certainly harm your wallet. Stand well clear of anything which is supposed to help you lose weight that hasn’t been prescribed by your doctor. After all you already own everything you need to lose weight. You don’t need the latest diet program. You don’t need more fitness equipment gathering dust in a corner. You don’t need a gym membership. You don’t need diet foods. How much have you paid in the past for all the diet books and paraphernalia that were meant to help you but had no lasting effect on your weight? To start a successful natural weight loss program you just need the following basic plan:- 1. Eat good healthy home cooked food Healthy in this case means low in fat, sugar and salt and with plenty of fruit and vegetables, natural whole grains and lean proteins. There are a ton of fantastic healthy and delicious recipes out there that you can use. You’ll find them on the internet, in your own cookbooks or you can borrow recipe books from the library. Select the best meals you can and create a weekly meal plan. Enjoy your food more on your weight loss program than ever before! Plan your meals on a weekly basis and keep to it. Your shopping list becomes your best ally in your weight loss plan. Eating out is often the downfall in any weight loss program. If you can’t avoid it, and especially if you eat out a lot, choose your restaurants with care and select the healthiest dishes from the menu. You could also ask them to prepare something healthy - most good restaurants would be able to provide plain fish or chicken for you with a salad (dressing on the side!) 2. Don’t eat unless you are physically hungry and stop eating as soon as you are satisfied. If you are overweight, you can be sure that you have eaten more food than your body needs in terms of calories. Chances are you’ve done that both through your choices of food - high in fat and sugar - which bulks up your body without filling you up and also through eating larger portion sizes than you really need of everything. If you’ve forgotten what a normal portion is, it’s best to think of a meal as being about the size of your two clenched fists. Put that much on your plate to start with and see how it feels to eat that much. About right? Stop there. Too little? Have a spoonful more or fill up on salad or vegetables - you can’t do much harm with them! 3. Add as much movement into your day as you can. Most weight loss programs have an exercise element. Great though this is in theory, it’s where many people give up. It’s just too demoralizing when you go red in the face, sweating and heart pounding after a couple of minutes when you’re supposed to do twenty! Twenty minutes! You’re lucky if you can do five. Why put yourself through this when you’re clearly not ready? The best way to add more movement into your day is by walking. Walk everywhere! It’s free! If you can afford it, get a pedometer and measure how much you’re doing each day. Aim for 10,000 steps every day when you’re trying to lose weight - it’s also great to stay at that level once you reach your target - it will help you stay slim. If you’re not fit, check with your doctor and start with a few hundred steps, adding to your total every day. If you don’t have a pedometer, keep a note of your progress by counting the number of minutes you walk and get a rough idea of the distance you’ve covered (for example, one block and two lamp-posts), gradually increasing both as you get fitter. You can walk whatever the weather if you have the right clothes and footwear or you can just walk around your home or the shops - it really doesn’t matter as long as you move! Of course there are more things you can do to lose weight, but these three offer the best start to any weight loss plan. There would be far fewer overweight people in the world if everyone followed these simple and natural steps. Weight loss programs make things complicated because they need to differentiate themselves from each other. They are not just going to tell you the obvious - they have to wrap it up in ratios and percentages, points and calories, rules and regulations until you can’t live a normal life and follow them. Free yourself from the latest diet fad and just start by following these steps. Weight loss, though still not as easy as falling off the proverbial log - we know that is just a fantasy - will happen more easily than ever before and in a completely natural way which gives lasting results. Weight Loss Magic
April 26th, 2008 by hangtongfaskenBy Janice Elizabeth Small Even if I could wave my weight loss coach’s little magic wand and make you instantly slimmer I would not do it - no matter how much you begged or pleaded. It’s not because I want to keep you overweight and make you unhappy but because I want to see you succeed - permanently. A magic wand would simply do you no good at all! You would just be back for another wave of the wand in a month or two when you had eaten yourself overweight again. You would be there with your tail between your legs, feeling like a failure, asking “How could I let myself get into this state again?”. But without a change in lifestyle and attitude, it’s natural that you would get right back to where you were before. In any case, I don’t have a magic wand to offer you - no one does. There is no safe and effective magic pill, potion or patch out there, no matter what the ads say, so quit putting your faith in these things and spending your hard earned cash on every so-called miracle solution. If you want to find weight loss magic, you already have all you need inside your own brain. You can decide right this minute that you will transform your life, your health and your body. If you take that decision, and mean it, you will get there. And you don’t have to magically transform your life overnight. Unless you have iron willpower, drastic changes to your regime rarely last. But there is magic in changing your life one or two steps at a time. Start with changes that are relatively painless. Eat less junk, replace it with delicious nourishing food. Move a bit more every day. Eat enough to satisfy your appetite, don’t gorge on all the good things on offer. Feel the power of small successes and use the motivation and momentum they create to help you become slimmer and healthier. You will not have a magic wand but you will see the magic of creating a healthy lifestyle bit by bit in melting away unwanted fat permanently. The Fisherman Or The Fish: Who’s Really In Control?
April 24th, 2008 by hangtongfaskenBy Trevor Kugler So there we were. Doug and I, on our favorite river, the Swan River, for a day of fishing. It was a beautiful day, not a cloud in the sky and about eighty degrees. It was the kind of day you dream about for river fishing. The gang hooks were tied, the bait bags were stocked with our favorite live bait (worms), and everything was pointing towards a perfect day fishing. As a matter of fact, about 10 minutes after we arrived at the first fishable stretch of river, I heard Doug yell, “Fish on!” He fought and landed the nice eighteen inch Rainbow Trout with ease, then followed that up with another one. Oh yea, back to back fish. This was going to be a good day. We continued to fish for the next hour or so, both landing multiple fish that were around eighteen inches. They were all very nice trout, but after catching three or four fish that size on ultra light fishing gear, you get lulled into a sort of trance. You start to think that this dream is never going to end. This is how trout work. They try to lull you into a false sense of security, then BAM, they yank, you right back to reality. It’s almost as if you’re the one being fooled. So we wade to the head of a nice pool and the only way to fish it from where we were was to fish directly below ourselves into the deeper water. It was a strange scenario, to be sure. Under normal circumstances I would never fish a hole in this fashion, but under these circumstances, there was no other way. There was also a fallen tree on the left side of the hole, which extended all of the way into the deeper water. In hindsight, the conditions definitely favored any fish that might be swimming in that hole. That didn’t seem to matter though, because after fishing for about twenty minutes Doug began his move to the next hole. And I was just about to make the same move when I felt a pull on my line. I, of course, set the hook and the fight began. Now mind you, thirty minutes earlier I had caught and released two or three eighteen to twenty inch Rainbow trout. And that is exactly what this fish felt like for the first minute or two. Another nice trout. Then after five or six minutes of routine fighting, something happened. All of the sudden the fish stopped. I couldn’t budge it. It was as if I were suddenly snagged on a rock. So, this of course meant that I had to begin to get upset. I started moving my rod to different angles, pulling with varying degrees of pressure, and all in all just trying no get myself unstuck from what I thought was the bottom. And of course during all of this the profanities were flying about the fact that the fish had “hung me up”. So I waded to my left along where the fallen tree was, reeling in line as I went. I was looking into the water with my polarized glasses on as I waded, until my line was pretty much vertical to where I was standing. As I looked into the deeper water where my line was I saw a very disturbing sight. There, probably four feet deep was a very large rainbow trout on the end of my line! It didn’t look be a lot longer than the eighteen to twenty inch rainbows that we had been catching all day, but this monster had to be twice as wide. I saw nothing but a huge red stripe glistening in the sun. My heart skipped a beat as I tried to grab a hold of my composer, and then…..Snap! The line broke. I suppose there is no need to go into the tantrum that ensued, but let me say that it would have made the worst two year old in the world seem like an angel. There’s no way to tell exactly how big that trout was, but after seeing it, it was easily the biggest I had ever had a hold of to that point in my fishing career. It was as wide a trout as I had ever seen, other than in books and magazines. I was not happy with myself to say the least, but after the initial mental anguish wore off, I did learn something. Something that helped me to actually land the largest rainbow trout that I ever have one short year later. That fish did the same thing. It got itself sideways in the current and I couldn’t budge it. But this time I just waited it out, keeping my line tight the entire time, and not trying to “horse” the fish. Eventually the trout got tired, and I was able to land it. So that’s the lesson that I learned and I’m sharing with anyone who reads this article. Big trout can get themselves sideways in the current and make it feel as if they are snagged under a rock or something. If you wait them out, while keeping pressure on them, they will eventually get tired and begin to move again. By the way, that’s usually straight downstream. Selling The Free Offer
April 22nd, 2008 by hangtongfaskenBy Anne Duncan Central to successful marketing for Service Professionals is giving away valuable information. In fact all your marketing should revolve around this one simple principle: Create valuable information to give away and give it away in vast quantities. This may sound simple, but like everything there’s a knack to it. It actually takes some thought and planning to give away valuable information in a way that makes it truly appreciated and brings you paying clients (that is after all what marketing is all about isn’t it?). Simply giving away something, no matter how valuable, will only get you so far. To really capitalise on this principle you need to first sell prospects on actually reading your valuable information. These days with information over-load, prospects need to feel they have a reason to invest some of their valuable time reading what you’ve written; it’s that old WIIFM question (what’s in it for me). So you need to sell ‘em on the idea first. The best way to do this is by following the same simple steps you take to communicate your marketing message: Problem - Outcome - Value - Proof - Offer. 1. Problem - Why do your clients need you in the first place? Which topics make prospects ask questions and want to know more? How can you help them? 2. Ultimate Outcome What will your clients get when they work with you? It’s all about the difference you make. Thats what gets them interested. Copyright Anne Duncan 2006 3. Value - This is simply an expansion of your Ultimate Outcome. What are all the more specific benefits clients get when they work with you? They want to know some details. 4. Proof - Who have you worked with and what kind of results have you produced? Use anecdotes and testimonials to paint some pictures. They want a taste of who you are and are you successful? 5. Offer - This is when you get your prospect to take action. If you don’t make an offer that they can easily take you up on, the marketing game is over, dead in the water. But what is the offer? Is it your services? Is it a proposal? Is it trying to close the sale? Rarely. This will all come later. The offer is for some Free Stuff; and yes, you do have to actually sell your free offer. First you need to get your prospects attention and interest. Then you need to build your case and prove you have credibility and are successful. Only when you have done that, will they bother to look at your free stuff. In other words, dont expect great results if you just throw free information at prospects. They won’t pay any attention to it. They won’t value it. Nothing will happen. The fact is its not that easy to get people to look at your free stuff. It goes against the grain; studies have proven that you can’t even give dollar bills away on a street corner. People won’t take it, even although it is cash youre offering! But if you have a plan, if you follow a few simple steps, taking the time and effort to get your prospects focused attention. If you build your case on credibility and trust then your free stuff becomes interesting, intriguing, desirable and valuable. Which brings me to a crucial point: free stuff should never be completely free. If they want your valuable information they need to give you something valuable in return. Youll find people are much more comfortable with this idea than they are with something for nothing. It could be said that your free offer is the last step in your initial marketing process, but you could also say that it’s the first step of the selling process. Here are a few examples of the many ways you can give away free stuff (in this case a report) and keep the marketing conversation going: On your Web Site Offer a valuable report. It can be downloaded free if they give you their email address and first name. Tell them that as a bonus theyll be subscribed to your eZine. You can now send them valuable information on a regular basis, which is a great way to build credibility and trust with your prospects. When You Do A Talk: The same report will do. But don’t just hand it out to everyone who turns up - they won’t all value it (or read it). Ask for a business card so you can send the report out to those who want it, and let them know you’ll add them to your eZine list as well. Again, you can now follow-up. At networking Events: Get even more mileage from the same report. When you connect with someone you think you might be able to help, get their business card and offer to send the report. Then follow up by phone to answer any questions. The true value to you of always having something free to offer is that you get permission to follow-up and continue the marketing conversation. That way, when the time is right and your prospect is ready to take advantage of the service you provide, theres an excellent chance its YOU theyll call and not someone else. How To Decrease Your Weight Just As Easily As You Increased It!
April 21st, 2008 by hangtongfaskenBy Phil Brull Yes, its always the same You look in the mirror and you say to yourself Oh yeah, its OK! Could be worse and then a tiny little voice in your head starts whispering Cmon Darn it! Thats awful! Theres at least the weight of one big, juicy watermelon too much! And then, maybe you say to yourself Yes, I know but, after all, it isnt so bad and maybe you plan to change your eating habits and to exercise more or to begin with. And the best is, you are really willing to do it but then this great meal crossed your way and besides, no one who would be in his right mind would have rejected this little, yes almost tiny piece of delicious chocolate cake in the afternoon and so, days go by and nothing really changed, except your weight but not in the way you wanted After some time you think maybe you would be too weak to lose weight or that being overweight might be your destiny, that the weight would be a part of you and that you would never be able to lose it forever. You even proof this to yourself. Maybe you followed countless diets, tried to exercise but, either you stopped after a short period of time or you lost some weight, only to put it on again later. Now, heres the good news: This can change! You can change your weight! You already proved it in increasing it. Now, lets do the opposite and decrease it. Yes, it works. Its all about your mindset. OK you may say, sounds good, but please tell me how to do it! And, however, increasing it is much easier than decreasing it Well, I dont think so There might be a reason why you keep your weight or constantly increase it. This reason why you need your weight is located in your subconscious mind. If you are overweight, and I mean any weight that you dont want for yourself (regardless what other people might say), then there is a purpose for this weight. When diets not work then there is a reason for this. And this reason is mostly located at a much deeper level than diets are able to go. That means, when you find the reason why you keep yourself at this weight or why you increase your weight then you have the key to your ideal weight. And then, changing your weight becomes much easier because you dont work against yourself anymore. You may not know this reason on a conscious level and it even is not necessary to know it. But when losing weight is endless difficult and becomes a struggle, then you are on a battlefield you against yourself. All this does not happen on a conscious level. There are many subconscious programs running all at the same time and some may produce results that you want, others don’t. The key is to change the programs that produce results you don’t want. Thats the reason why diets may work for others. These people resolved the root cause for their weight without knowing it. This is possible, because all this is a natural ability anyone possesses. Once the root cause is dissolved, losing weight becomes very easy. But what about you? Why diets did not work for you? Maybe because in your subconscious mind there is still a program running that wants to keep you overweight for a certain reason, a certain purpose. Once you dissolved this reason, your subconscious mind does not have a reason anymore to keep you overweight and losing weight becomes easy and your new body image allows you to keep the lost weight off forever! Here is what you might help you: changing the undercover running programs by dissolving the root cause for your overweight. How? Very easily: with Hypnosis. What? Hypnosis? you might say. Isnt it dangerous? I dont want give someone else power over me Be assured, these reactions are normal. Very few people know what hypnosis is all about. But one thing is sure: it can help you not only to lose weight on a natural and healthy way but to keep the weight off, and this for your lifetime! Bridal Budget Beware
April 19th, 2008 by hangtongfaskenBy Jessica Bonilla Getting hitched, taking the plunge, tying the knot, jumping the broom–whatever you call it, chances are you know it aint cheap to say I do. But do you know the real sticker price of a wedding these days? You may want to have a seat for this one. According to a 2005 survey by The Fairchild Bridal Group, the average cost of a wedding is $26,327. And no, thats not a typo. So thats the bad news. The good news is that you can do it for less and still have the wedding of your dreams. And you wont have to cut your guest list down to 10 or have a cash bar at your reception. But before you begin crunching numbers and cutting budgets, figure out which elements of your wedding are most important. Start with a list of the major bridal expenditures (cake, ceremony/reception location, flowers, food, formal wear, honeymoon, invitations, music, photographer, and videographer) and rate them in numerical order. Once youve done that, youll have a better understanding of your expectations for your wedding. So on to the free advice… Not all weddings on a budget advice has to focus on settling for the next best thing. There are lots of ways to save money and still get precisely what you always dreamed of having. For example: - Once youve picked out the perfect wedding gown, go online and see if you can find a better price. There are several reliable, online bridal retailers that also operate their own bridal salons–so you wont have to worry about fly-by-night operations and poor customer service. (And yes, they offer brand name gowns.) - Do the same for your shoes and accessories. Many of these online shops have free shipping and no sales tax–so thats money in your pocket. - If youre serving alcohol at your reception, ask your caterer if they charge a corkage fee. If they dont, look in to purchasing it through a wholesaler, local retailer, or even online. Youre going to get better prices. - Instead of hiring a professional videographer, get a friend or hire a student from your local university to do the handiwork. - Ready-made favors can cost upwards of $3 per person. And most of the cost associated with these little tokens of appreciation is labor. So make them yourself…its not that hard and can be lots of fun! - Instead of buying expensive, personalized thank you cards, buy boxed thank-you cards. You can find beautiful ones at a card store, bookstore, or stationer. - If your guests arent big on dancing, think about skipping the DJ or band. Instead, hire a solo musician for a romantic touch. - If youre having an outdoor ceremony or reception, use potted plants instead of expensive floral arrangements. Not only will you save money, but youll get to take the flowers home and watch them grow through the years. - Have your reception at a local restaurant. Many dont charge a location/rental fee AND you wont have to rent tables, chairs, or linens. Planning a wedding on a budget doesnt have to be painful. And it certainly doesnt mean that you cant have everything you always dreamed of. Its about spending your money wisely…and perhaps saving a little so you can buy furniture AFTER the wedding. Panic After WLS: I’m Succeeding at Weight Loss: Now What?
April 16th, 2008 by hangtongfaskenBy Kaye Bailey The fear of success arises in patients when they realize a genuine change is occurring and they are moving forward with their life. To have bariatric surgery is to pursue an allusive dream that is now being realized many patients have dreamed all of their lives of successfully losing weight. This time the miracle is working and the pounds are melting away. This time there is no familiar failure, no relapse to bad behavior. This time we are eye-to-eye with success. Weight loss surgery guarantees successful weight loss, and increases the odds for long-term successful weight maintenance. The fear of success is very real because its about the unknown. We have not succeeded at dieting or weight loss, thats why we are having surgery. It will take us into the unknown. The fear of success is real. It is also futile. Weight loss is going to occur in spite of our greatest fear of succeeding. The fear of success is an umbrella sheltering many other fears. Some patients say they fear loneliness, that successful weight loss will lead to isolation. Some women fear the empowerment of healthy self esteem will make them unlovable. Others fear success will make them vulnerable to people whose intentions are not genuine. Many women fear that successful weight loss will make them more attractive to others and could jeopardize their intimate relationships. For every fear there is a weight loss patient whose fear has come true. One trimmed down woman was lonely when her life-long friends the Fat Pack isolated her from the group. Another woman, so empowered by her weight loss and healthy self-esteem, became a career ladder climber with a single focus for reaching the top she became unlovable. Slimmed down single gals report suspicion of their suitors saying, he would have never loved me when I was fat his intentions are not genuine. And many other newly svelte women have found themselves divorced and alone. A jealous spouse simply could not manage the male attention his wife was attracting. Some fears of success are easy to dispel because they will probably never happen, such as the fear of waking up morbidly obese again. But some are real, and some do happen. When a person affects great change, the relationships around them are forced to change. Some friends will always cheer you on, but others are steeped in jealousy and will denigrate you for moving forward. Perhaps a suitor wouldnt have loved you before weight loss, but truthfully, did you love yourself? If not, how could you expect someone else to love you? Some spouses will embrace the new you, others with tremble and run in the wake of fear your change has awakened in them. I believe the fear of success goes in hand with the social inferiority we felt as morbidly obese people. As we realize successful weight loss we start to think we dont deserve to be thin, healthy and attractive these are reserved for the beautiful, smart, successful people. If we become these things healthy, beautiful, thin, attractive, successful then we are frauds and hypocrites. We are undeserving. This is self-loathing and destructive behavior. It leads to self-sabotage. Patients report uncontrolled behavior changes such as snacking, eating sugary or high fat foods and not exercising. When a patient falls into the downward spiral of self-loathing and sabotage they show a complete disregard for the four rules. Patients know what they are doing is harmful to them. Many admit feeling unworthy of weight loss success. Some patients have become so destructive they have gained weight and compromised their health. The saddest part of self-sabotage is that it only hurts ourselves. The best thing about self-sabotage is that when we recognize it we can cease the harmful behavior. To manage the fear of success first acknowledge that you have the right to succeed and the right to enjoy your success. Nobody stood up to the plate for you and had surgery it is you who made the sacrifice and paid the price to affect a healthy change in your life. Weight loss surgery will affect the way you conduct yourself every day for the rest of your life. It was not a simple one-shot solution. You pay the price for success with every bite you take, every swallow. The price is very steep dont ever minimize it. As obese people we are skilled at declining compliments and credit for the things we accomplished, we felt socially inferior for so long. But weight loss surgery is your sacrifice and your accomplishment: you are sole owner. You have a right, and an obligation to yourself, to celebrate the wonderful success it brings. Next understand that your success is about you, not anyone else. If others exclude you from their fat pack its not because you have succeeded, its because of how your success makes them feel. It has nothing to do with you. If a spouse is so insecure they would rather you be unhealthy and unattractive then it is their issue, not yours. Your weight loss is about you you didnt lose weight to show superiority over others you lost weight because you had a debilitating illness that could be treated with surgery. The result of that surgery is weight loss. The result of weight loss is a longer, healthier life; and yes, a thinner, attractive beautiful person. While others may see it differently, the fact is, you have lost weight to save your life. You have succeeded. You have the right to celebrate your success. Create Beautiful Outdoor Living Spaces
April 14th, 2008 by hangtongfaskenBy Lata Tokhi Outdoor living spaces are becoming quite popular, and why shouldnt they? What better way is there to expand your square footage without building an addition? Making your yard, garden, or patio feel like an extension of your home is one of the best ways to create more useable space. Continue the Same Scheme Start by continuing your indoor color scheme out to the patio or the garden. This is especially important if an interior space opens directly onto the outdoor living space. Throw those French doors or sliding glass doors open and instantly increase the amount of square footage. Co-Ordinate Outdoors with Indoors Choose patio furniture and outdoor accessories that coordinate with your interior furnishings. You dont want to go from modern inside to French Country outside if the spaces are tied together, unless of course you plan to create some type of eclectic mix in both spaces. Beautify Beautify your outdoor spaces with some quick tips. For closed spaces like patios, add a pretty picture on the wall. Wreaths made of seasonal flowers and foliage look great on walls and garden fences. Tabletop fountains and other similar water features have a soothing effect on your nerves and make your outdoor living space more welcoming. During spring and summer, a few hand-picked flowers from your own garden will brighten up your outdoor space and make it more inviting. Outdoor Furniture You can find beautiful outdoor furniture that looks good enough to use indoors and is comfortable enough for daily living as well as for entertaining. Take special pains in caring for your outdoor furniture so it continues looking great. Save Over $82,000 on Heart (open) Surgery - Alternative Health care Medicine
April 11th, 2008 by hangtongfaskenBy Esther Mullen Scott Miller did not have health insurance. How did he save over $82,000 on his heart surgery? His hospital bill was more than $150,000. His remaining cost was around $50,000, to be paid in installments. Now that is a huge savings that came out to even more than 50 cents on the dollar. He had a patient advocate come in and negotiated with the hospital on his behalf to get his bills reduced based on his ability to pay. Here’s how. Having a heart attack is scary enough, not to mention the cost of such an ordeal these days. For us folks without any kind of health plan at all, because it is too expensive, we have pre-existing conditions, or age limits, not to mention a whole lot of other reasons why some of us cannot get affordable healthcare options these days, it is downright discouraging. Most of us just pray nothing major happens and take it from there. But what if something does happen? Then what? With the huge cost of healthcare these days hanging over our heads, what do we do? I have found a couple different options available that work, besides medicare and medicaid for the rest of us. There IS another, just like in Return of the Jedi. There is another Skywalker. First, there are very affordable healthcare benefit plans out there that cost very little and offer huge discounts. One such very reputable company is AmeriPlan USA, the nation’s premiere medical discount plan organization. They also have exceptional ratings with the BBB. They offer two different discount programs that are suitable for any age group, cover all on-going medical/dental conditions, there is no waiting period and no forms to fill out. Ameriplan dental benefit, starts at $11.95 month for an individual or $19.95 month for an entire household,(plus a one time $20 registration fee) even if you are not related and includes free vision, discount prescription plan, and chiropractic benefits. Even if you are on medicare or medicaid this can still be used as a supplement. NO one is denied. They also have a 30 day money back guarantee. The best part is the price. Folks receive savings up to 80% at the dentist, save on vision care (up to 60%), up to 80% on prescription drugs, discount chiropractic plan, savings are up to 50%. You also save 50% or more on all medical care procedures with the AmeriPlan Health. Included with this is the Patient Advocacy Program, run by the Karis Group. So if you ever need emergency, heart open surgery, or something else major, you have an advocate. How that works is for any bill over $2,500, including multiple bills for every one incident, they will come in and negotiate with the hospital on your behalf based on your ability to pay and save you 5 times or more than what you would normally have to pay if you had no form of health insurance whatsoever. What Scott did have, was only this, Ameriplan Health, alternative health care medicine, which offers deep discounts. Another option, if you are already fairly healthy and already have health insurance, but feel you are paying too much, is to switch to a high catastrophic plan, to lower your monthly premiums, then get a discount plan on the front end, like AmeriPlan which still keeps you covered but puts money back into your pocket every month (over a year’s time that really adds up). Then, you would still have the discount program available to help with the higher deductible in the event something major were to happen so you would not have to pay all that, say, $5,000 out of pocket. Lastly, you could to take the extra money you’d be saving every month by switching to a higher catastrophic plan with your current insurance company, and put it into a health savings accout- also known as an HSA. These are totally tax free accounts. Then, again, if something major were to happen, that money would be there to help with medical bills while you would also have your discount program on the front end as well with your catastrophic health insurance plan. Any way you look at it, you would still be able to Save Over $82,000 on heart surgery, depending on what your specific healthcare needs are, and it is well worth it in the end. Finally! Alternative health care medicine, so you can afford to keep it!
